THE ACACIA STRAIN frontman interviewed in Montreal, video availableDuring the band’s first trip to Montreal, QC during their four day tour of Eastern Canada, THE ACACIA STRAIN frontman Vincent Bennett was interviewed by metal website HardTimes.CA. Video footage is available online here and features Bennett covering the band’s most recent release, The Dead Walk, the band’s heavy touring regiment, and the concept and growth of the band on THE ACACIA STRAIN’s upcoming release, Continent. Meanwhile, THE ACACIA STRAIN will enter the studio April 13 with Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, Municipal Waste) at Planet Z Studio to record Continent, the follow-up to The Dead Walk. Again handling artwork will be Paul Romano (Mastodon, The Red Chord, Trivium), and one of the pre-production tracks from Continent, entitled “Dr. Doom,” is available on the band’s MySpace page.

THE ACACIA STRAIN will also be embarking on headlining run of dates in the United States, dubbed the Sun Your Bunz Tour with support from All Shall Perish, The Warriors, Eternal Lord, and Since The Flood through May and June before departing for Europe, where the band will headlining the mainland with support from Annotations Of An Autopsy, and Knights Of The Abyss. “I can't even express in words how excited I am for this tour,” frontman Vincent Bennett says. “This is our first time in mainland Europe, so expect some culture shock on both ends. Annotations and Knights of The Abyss both bring devious amounts of heavy, so this should be a tour to contend with. See you in July!”

ALL THAT REMAINS schedules studio time for forthcoming album, gear up for Warped Tour Massachusetts’ ALL THAT REMAINS has confirmed May 1 as the first day of recording at Audiohammer studio in Florida with producer Jason Suecof (Bury Your Dead, Chimaira, Devildriver) for the band’s follow-up to 2006’s The Fall of Ideals. More details, including a release date, artwork and tracklisting, will be available shortly.

"ATR are going to florida!" says frontman Phil Labonte. "We are wicked pumped to be working with Jason.
He’s been a friend for a long time and we are super excited to hear how he will bend ATR’s sound and help squeeze new and badass metal out of our collective brains. He’s a great producer and we can’t wait to see what happens after two months at Audio Hammer Insanitown Studios! Get into it."

Meanwhile, the band is continuing to write for the yet-untitled effort at home in Massachusetts. ALL THAT REMAINS most recently completed a winter headlining across North America with support from Chimaira, Black Tide, Divine Heresy and labelmates Light This City. Due up next is a nearly-month long stint on the mainstage of Warped Tour 2008, and dates are available below.

CENTURY launches e-card featuring three songs, tour dates, video trailer Pennsylvania’s CENTURY has posted an online e-Card here, featuring three tracks from the band’s forthcoming effort, Black Ocean, alongside biographical information, tour dates, and a trailer for the "Black Ocean" music video, which will see a debut on MTV2’s Headbangers Ball later this month. Fans can also spread the word about the e-Card at the above link.
In the meantime, Black Ocean will see an April 29 release on Prosthetic Records, and is the follow-up to 2006’s critically-acclaimed album Faith and Failure which saw a release via Tribunal Records.

Mastered by Kim Rosen at West West Side Music in New York, a completed version of the title track from Black Ocean and the album’s cover art are also available on CENTURY’s MySpace page. Two years in the making, in conjunction with the release of Black Ocean, CENTURY is launching a special album website. The interactive full-flash site will feature exclusive content, including hidden features and a bonus track only accessible by solving a code found in the album’s artwork. The website will be officially launched April 28 along with the album’s release.

LIGHT THIS CITY offers another video update from the studio – guitar and bass recording San Francisco’s melodic death metallers LIGHT THIS CITY have issued the second of four in-studio video updates, while the band is recording its fourth record, tentatively scheduled for a fall 2008 release via Prosthetic Records. The clip, featuring guitar and bass recording snippets is available at the band’s YouTube page, while the first clip is also still available here.

"We have been in the studio in Oakland, CA with engineer Zack Ohren tracking the follow up to Facing the Thousand, which should see a release date in September," said drummer Ben Murray. "We couldn’t be more excited on how these new songs have turned out, and we are SURE that you guys will love them. Stay tuned for more info on the album as well as more video journals as the recording progresses."

LIGHT THIS CITY was also recently added to the In Thrash We Trust tour alongside Death Angel, God Forbid, and Soilent Green, along with two shows alongside Testament, which will start May 1 in Michigan and conclude June 11 in New York City, criss-crossing the United States and parts of Canada along the way.

Support offered by All Shall Perish, The Warriors, Eternal Lord, Since The Flood Massachusetts’ THE ACACIA STRAIN are proud to announce a summer 2008 headlining tour across the United States. Dubbed the Sun Your Bunz Tour, and featuring support from All Shall Perish, The Warriors, Eternal Lord and Since The Flood, the tour with cross America from late-May into late-June. The run will be in anticipation of THE ACACIA STRAIN’s forthcoming album, Continent, which is scheduled for release later this year through Prosthetic Records.

Meanwhile, the band has posted a pre-production song entitled "Dr. Doom" from ’Continent’ on THE ACACIA STRAIN’s MySpace page. The band will head into the studio April 13 with producer Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, Municipal Waste) at Planet Z studio, and pre-production for Continent has already been completed. THE FUNERAL PYRE debuts new music from forthcoming album Los Angeles’ THE FUNERAL PYRE has posted a track from the band’s forthcoming record, Wounds, online at the band’s MySpace page, entitled "Black Earth.
" Scheduled for a May 27 release through Prosthetic Records, Wounds is the follow-up to 2006’s The Nature of Betrayal, which saw an early 2007 re-release through a distribution deal with Creator Destructor Records.

Recorded in February and March with producer John Haddad (Intronaut, Eyes of Fire, Abysmal Dawn), Wounds was mixed by metal legend Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, Cannibal Corpse, Through The Eyes of the Dead) and mastered by Alan Douches (Shadows Fall, Converge, Municipal Waste). Having most recently completed a West Coast tour with Book of Black Earth, THE FUNERAL PYRE is slated to be part of Los Angeles Murderfest alongside Converge, Baroness, The Red Chord, Genghis Tron April 18 and will be embarking on a CD release-based tour in May and June throughout the United States. "As you probably already know, we’ve been hard at work recording our new album, Exist, in North Hollywood with our boy Fred Archambault. We finish guitar solos and clean vocals today, and move on to dirty/screaming/whatever you want to call it vocals, as well as some little odds ’n ends (such as acoustic overdubs, strings, etc). By the end of next week, we’ll be moving on to the mixing process!

"The songs are finally taking shape, and we’re all getting very excited about it! We should have the final tracklisting within the next week, week and-a-half, so we’ll reveal that as soon as we know. What I can tell you is, Exist is ten tracks of heavy fuckin’ metal, no doubt about that. The album will be released on Prosthetic Records in the summertime, we’ll also let you know the release date ASAP.

"We’ve been posting in-studio video updates on YouTube and such, so if you haven’t already, you should check them out!! You could find them on our personal YouTube channel, www. youtube. com/hothousestudios. I’ll be posting a couple more, probably today or tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled.

NEURAXIS offers studio webisode 2 footage Canada’s NEURAXIS has issued the band’s latest webisode video clip entitled "NEURAXISStudio Episode 2 – Guitars," featuring footage and interviews from the recording of the band’s fifth studio record. Footage is available online at the band’s MySpace page. NEURAXIS tapped Jef Fortin (of fellow Canadians Anonymus) to record the band’s debut album for Prosthetic Records, The Thin Line Between, which will also feature a guest vocal cameo from the legendary Luc Lemay (Gorguts, Negativa).

"The writing and recording process for The Thin Line Betweenwas probably the most intense I’ve ever experienced," says guitarist Rob Milley. "Sound-wise this is going to be our best so far. Song-wise, it’s our most complete album to date."

"I’m very happy with how the guitar playing was captured," added fellow guitarist Will Seghers says. "Precise, vicious and dynamic are words that come to my mind when hearing the new album." More excerpts are available in the webisode.

Having entered the studio Feb. 19, Alan Douches (Mastodon, Converge, Shadows Fall) is now at work mastering the effort, and artist Dennis Sibejin of Damnengine Art (Job For A Cowboy, Chimaira) will showcase the record’s visuals.The new album will be the first studio album featuring new vocalist Alex Leblanc and new guitarist William Seghers, both having appeared on the recently-released Live Progression, via Galy Records. Live Progression is the live follow-up to NEURAXIS’ last studio album, 2005’s ’Trilateral Progression.’ More details, artwork for The Thin Line Between, tour dates, and regular in-studio footage updates will be available shortly.
